Tyler Paulson was born and raised in the small farming community of Monte Vista, CO. Cameras have always fascinated Tyler. Whether capturing spectacular scenery on a car drive, or while sitting on a bench downtown, Tyler sees the beauty in it all. He sees things in slow motion, the perfect framing, and the still moment in time that captivates the human eye. This is driving him farther than he could have ever imagined. Capturing special moments has pushed Tyler to continue to learn more about the creative arts of photography and cinematography. His passion and inspiration pursues his creativity at all times. His journey all started out with a camera in his hand. After winning Colorado State 4H competitions for 5 years, Tyler moved his attention to cinematography for Sargent High School. He edited and filmed highlights, sports competitions, historical documentaries, and the senior class video; ultimately his passion for these creative outlets led him to Colorado Mesa University in 2010.

While pursuing his B.A. in Mass Communications at Colorado Mesa, Tyler studied both photography and video broadcasting. He was able to be a co-founder for the University’s first Greek fraternity Kappa Sigma: Sigma-Mu, and coordinate a mass over-haul on a student-producedtelevision station that is now one of the campus’s main media outlets. During his time in Grand Junction, Tyler also worked full-time as the Grand Junction Rockies Head Editor, as well as for KKCO, KJCT, MeTV, Telemundo, and the CW as the station’s Master Control Operator. After receiving his degree in 2015, he has maintained a close relationship with his alma mater and continues to work as a freelance content provider for Colorado Mesa University.

Tyler currently resides in Denver, CO and has expanded his talents over a mass market including Altitude TV, FOX, American Idol, Discovery Channel, Comcast, ISPN, Metropolitan State University, West Works Studios. Additionally, he also serves several individual clients as a photography and video specialist. Tyler has worked with multiple projects such as: Weddings, Sports, Studio, Director, Technical Director, Tricaster, Portrait, Music, Motion Graphics, Steady Cam, EVS, Replay, Stop Motion, and much more. Through tireless study and practice, Tyler knows just what angles and exposure to set for the perfect shot. He has garnered nominations for Emmy Awards, and continues to delight and inspire his audience with breathtaking masterpieces. Tyler has mastered multiple editing platforms from Adobe Suite, Divinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X, and Avid Media Composer. Resolution and aspect of every endeavor is met with integrity and in-depth, advanced knowledge of photography.
